WELCOME

Thanks for stopping by! Here I wrote openly about my life as a mommy to our miracle daughter Lilly, the struggles we went through on this journey to parenthood, the loss of our precious son and pretty much anything else that comes up. Feel free to look around, leave a comment or two, put your feet up and get comfortable :)

15 Weeks

THIS WEEK
I'm 15 weeks! Less than a month before we are at our halfway mark (since we will be induced early) and in a few weeks we should be finding out this precious baby's gender which we cannot wait for! I'm starting to really feel like this pregnancy is going along quickly, which is exciting - oh we can't wait to meet this beautiful little baby. I have an appointment coming up and we should have our next ultrasound planned - can't wait to find out if we are on team blue or team pink!

BABY UPDATE
Baby is the size of a naval orange and growing quickly, can't believe 10 weeks ago baby was the size of an apple seed and now look at how big he/she is already.

Our baby is now able to rub his/her eyes, yawn and even blink those beautiful eyes. His or her hairline is starting to form and hair is beginning to grow on our baby's head, even the eyelashes and eyebrows are growing. Baby is hiccuping regularly now, which may be attributing to some of those flutters/popping Momma may be feeling and our sweet little baby can also hear sounds now - welcome to our big family little one, all these crazy noises are the many Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents that already love you - Oh and Mom & Dad who are so in love with you little one!

MOMMA UPDATE
Feeling pretty good this week, still a lot of the same pains and I've had a (TMI WARNING) little change in my discharge which of course makes me worry and I will mention to my ob this week but it does seem to be normal during pregnancy and isn't coming with any symptoms for things that I should actually worry about - which is comforting to my crazy head. Still relying on my doppler but for the last few weeks I've been noticing little pops and flutters in my uterus, not frequent or strong enough yet but I've been feeling something and can't wait to have a "I felt the baby!" moment, which hopefully won't be much longer. Still having a lot of the same aches and pains and although I seem to have traded my nausea for heartburn, it seems that my nausea may be gone for good (although day dreaming about trying another bowl of mushroom soup will still bring on waves of nausea Refer to: 13 Weeks). Still craving milk although I seem to have strayed away from the sweets kick I was having a couple weeks ago, although randomly craved Rootbeer the other day ahh but I try to offset it with the amount of water I'm drinking (which turns into a lot of trips to the bathroom haha)

Baby bump is measuring 38.5inches

DADDY MOMENTS
Rubbing and kissing Momma's baby bump and talking to our little one all the time.

FAVORITE PART OF THE WEEK
We bought our baby's crib! I had spent a lot of time researching them and although I had intended to wait a little bit longer when we saw that our top choice was going out of stock we decided to pick it up before we missed our chance and having it sitting in our nursery (although still in it's box for a few more weeks) is making me so excited to start our nursery and even better - bring this beautiful little baby home to his or her room!

LOOKING FORWARD TO
It's a toss up between finding out the gender and starting to really plan our nursery.

xo, Anne.
